Nyero Rock Paintings

The Nyero Rock Paintings are among the country’s most significant prehistoric sites, believed to date back to the Iron Age. These ancient geometric artworks, created using red and white pigments, are spread across three granite rock shelters and are attributed to the early Batwa hunter-gatherers.
The site features motifs like concentric circles, canoes, and abstract symbols with spiritual or ritual meanings.
